Connecticut is a fluoridated state:

"Dental disease affects half of first-graders and a whopping 80 percent of teenagers in Connecticut. Only one in 10 dentists in the state accepts Medicaid or Husky, resulting in 71 percent of children not getting oral care. For the thousands of uninsured children, the picture is even bleaker. Dental clinics often have one-year waiting lists."
